Reci-bee beta
Support
Reci-bee is an invite-only beta run by one person. Here is how to get help and what to honestly expect.
Contact
Email bee@typoz.co for anything: bugs, confusion, feedback, or account requests. It helps a lot to include what you were doing, what you expected, a screenshot, the recipe URL involved, and your browser or device.
Messages are read and answered personally, usually within a few days. There is no guaranteed response time, on-call rotation, or status page during the beta.
Your account
Forgot your password? Use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen; it emails you an expiring reset link. If the email never arrives, write to support and we will sort it out manually.
The beta is intended for invited testers. The sign-up form may be visible, but access and support are limited to the invited cohort while the final hosted account policy is still pending.
Delete your account or export your data
There is no delete or export button yet. Both are done by hand on request: email bee@typoz.co from the address on your account. Deletion removes your account, recipes, and photos, and you get a confirmation when it is done. Export gets you your recipes as JSON. [FOR OWNER REVIEW: whether deleted copies linger in any backups and, if so, when they age out; confirm before publication] See the privacy policy for the honest details.
What works today
Saving recipes (title, ingredients, steps, notes, photo, categories), searching your library, importing a recipe by pasting its URL, and cook mode (step checking, timers, scaling, and the screen staying awake).
Known limits, so you do not need to report them: native iPhone and Mac apps exist, but both are excluded from this browser-only beta round. There are no grocery lists, import wants a URL (no photo or free-text import yet), and unusual recipe pages may import partially, so review the draft before saving.
Supported browsers and devices
Automated tests run against Playwright's bundled Chromium on a desktop profile and at a phone-sized viewport. Current branded Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox are expected to work, but are not tested in CI. If something breaks there, that is a bug worth reporting. Legacy browsers are not supported.
The fine print
The beta's draft privacy policy and terms of use explain how your data is handled and the ground rules. Both are plain-language drafts pending owner and legal review.
