Reci-bee beta
Privacy policy
How the Reci-bee invite beta handles your data, in plain language.
Who runs Reci-bee
Reci-bee is intended as an invite-only beta of a personal recipe manager for a small group of personally known testers, run by Excuse Any Typos, LLC, an Idaho company. This policy takes effect on July 30, 2026. Questions and requests go to bee@typoz.co.
What we store
Your account: the email address you were invited with and a password (stored only as a hash by our authentication system, never readable by us). A session cookie keeps you signed in; there are no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
Your recipes: everything you save, including titles, ingredients, steps, notes, categories, photos, and the source URL of anything you import. Recipes are private to your account and enforced as such at the database level.
How your data is used
The app processes your account and recipe data when it shows your library, saves your edits, and handles imports you request. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising. Operator access to your recipes is limited to what a support request you make requires.
Recipe import and AI
When you import a recipe by URL, our server fetches that page for you. If the page has no machine-readable recipe data, the fetched page content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the recipe. Only the content you asked to import is sent; your email and account details are not. Content submitted this way is handled under Anthropic's commercial terms, under which Anthropic does not train models on it.
Where your data lives
Reci-bee is built on Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage). [FOR OWNER REVIEW: hosting details, region, and log retention, to be completed when the beta environment is provisioned]
Durability, honestly
This is a beta. Treat your data here as best effort: do not store anything you cannot afford to lose, and do not put other people's personal information in recipes or notes. [FOR OWNER REVIEW: backup status, to be stated only after a restore drill has verifiably passed]
Retention and deletion
There is no automatic retention schedule during the beta: your data is kept until you ask for deletion or the beta ends. [FOR OWNER REVIEW: once daily backups are provisioned, state how long deleted copies persist in them] Deletion is manual. Email bee@typoz.co from your account address and your account, recipes, and photos will be deleted by hand, with a confirmation when it is done. Requests are handled personally, usually within a few days; there is no guaranteed turnaround during the beta. [FOR OWNER REVIEW: retention policy for any wider release]
Your choices
You can edit or delete any recipe in the app, ask for a JSON export of your recipes, or ask for full deletion, all via bee@typoz.co.
Children
The beta is not directed at children. [FOR OWNER REVIEW: tester age and eligibility requirements; confirm before publication]
Changes
This draft will change as the beta matures. This page always shows the current version. See also the terms of use and support.
